Listen to me, Kendrick.
This new thing where people never say when they’re dropping an album or say a date and then just drop it whenever they feel like it is thrilling but emotionally draining.
Kendrick Lamar is the latest rapper to join the no promo club and it’s clear he's better off for it.
In a series of tweets last night, Kendrick seemed to allude to dropping To Pimp A Butterfly near the date of 2Pac's Me Against The World album.

Celebrities reacting to Kendrick Lamar's new album is almost as fascinating as the album itself. Kendrick seems to have built up a fanbase of, not only regular fair weather hip hop fans, but of his peers as well.

This can likely be attributed to Kendrick's penchant for never rubbing people the wrong way but also, from an artistic standpoint, utilising a massively diverse range of instrumentals and flows.

What Kendrick just did Drake can't do. It ain't no diss either. Just every artist got there skills. This ain't about a lyrical sword fight.— Trinidad Jame$ (@TrinidadJamesGG) March 16, 2015
It's odd to imagine someone whose album you might get excited for getting excited for someone else's album. But this is the nature of a Kendrick release.
