Ed Sheeran Covers "Trap Queen" on Fallon

By Liam Dryden

Listen to the singer's inevitably chill cover of Fetty Wap's breakout single.

We already know from earlier this week that Ed Sheeran is a master at covering unlikely genres; but this full-length version of Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" is on another level.

Jamming backstage during his stint on The Tonight Show this week, Ed enlisted the help of resident band The Roots to deliver this stripped-back, acoustic version of the rapper's debut single. On paper it sounds weird, but when you listen, nothing has ever felt so right.

Seriously, why is Ed's cover EP just a figment of Jimmy Fallon's imagination? Somebody tell us where the Kickstarter is to make this thing happen.

Check out Fetty Wap's original version of the track, and let us know how you think Ed's version compares in the comments below...
