"I don't know anything about it, sweetie". Mmm-hm.
While most of the music industry's elite have been palling around to promote Jay-Z's new music streaming service TIDAL, it's clear that many artists still missed out on the hype; either by choice, or just being overlooked. But TIDAL has made so many waves (heh) in the news over the past couple of weeks, that it's hard to imagine that anyone in the industry doesn't know what it is.
So when Jennifer Lopez was quizzed on her opinion of the service this week, it's hard to see her response as anything other than pure unbridled sass. Speaking at the final round of American Idol, J-Lo feigned ignorance about the streaming service to an interviewer looking for her opinion on it, shutting her down with a very pointed "I don't know anything about it, sweetie" when pressed.

And J-Lo isn't the only artist who has less than positive feelings about the service. Hours after its official launch, UK singer Lily Allen went on a multi-Tweet crusade about her concerns over the new service.

And while most might have dismissed her (mostly legitimate) opinions as "ranting", she's got some other artists in her corner.

So trouble in musical paradise, as always. Personally, we like the idea of a rag-tag bunch of musicians leading the rebellion against TIDAL. Quick, somebody write the dystopian fan-fic...
