K-Pop Has Officially Gone Trap: Here's Korea's Answer To Migos

The Quiett, Bobby & Dok2

We should have been paying more attention to how much Bobby, Dok2 and The Quiett have been dominating the Korean rap game.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL: K-Pop has officially adopted the trap flow and it's officially the best thing.

After we covered G-Dragon and Taeyang's extra-tight "Good Boy" back in November, this video from the Mnet Music Awards in Hong Kong has recently surfaced from early last month. In the first couple of minutes, South Korean rappers Bobby, Dok2 and The Quiett team up for a live performance of "YGGR#Hip-Hop". And DAMN.

Listen to that flow. It's got everybody in the audience captivated. Even I'm entranced and I don't speak a syllable of Korean.

This track is no doubt on par with the recent work of Georgia hip-hop trio Migos, whose signature flow is so popular that even Usher was accused of ripping it off.

If more K-Pop is on the way to sounding like this, then expect to see a lot more about it on PopBuzz.
