Marzi's illustrations capture the everyday struggles of being an introvert.
People who don't consider themselves introverts would likely have a tough time identifying with some of the things introverts go through. They may think some people are too lazy to leave the house when, in reality, many introverts find that being in public can be extremely mentally taxing.
Well, coming to a bookshelf near you are the brilliant and spot on drawings of an artist called Maureen "Marzi" Wilson, who turned her social introversion into a real live web series and book. Introvert Doodles is the web comic that takes a funny and sweet look at life as an introvert living amongst the extroverts.
On her blog, Marzi says that she spent most of her life feeling "backwards" because she didn't like the things other people said were fun. Parties and groups wore her out, which led her to believe she was abnormal. She thought that way until she was able to read about her feelings and now she's drawing relatable comics that may help others understand being an introvert.
Marzi is carving out a really cool space on the internet for introverts. She's also fuelling kinship and conversation with her introvert doodles. YAS, GIRL. You can check out her website, her instagram, and her book!
