Literally stop talking.
But one we weren't prepared for is Kanye and Madonna. As much as we usually love Kanye, this just... sees like too much ego for one room. Nevertheless, the pair have been admittedly working together; as Ye is now credited on three tracks in Madonna's upcoming (and oft-leaked) album, Rebel Heart.
The pair are openly friends, and have apparently discussed their shared habit for attracting controversy. In an interview with the New York Daily News, Madonna admits "We know, and recognise, that we have that in common. We’re comrades in the envelope-pushing genre."
But that wasn't her most eyebrow-raising comment.
"Kanye is the new Madonna," she tells the Daily News. "Kanye is the black Madonna."New York Daily News
Aside from their shared love of pushing people's buttons (as she most certainly is with this comment), there's like... no basis for comparison. But then again, the diva does seem to have a habit of using "Madonna" as a scientific unit of measurement.
Though I feel like when Kanye hears about that comment, this harmonious relationship is gonna end up going a little something like this:
But if it all turns sour, at least Kanye isn't the only unlikely Madonna-collab we can expect soon. Drake has grabbed her attention following his latest mixtape, which of course featured a track titled "Madonna". In the interview with Complex below, she hints at something "in the pipeline" after declaring "Madonna" as the best track on the record. No bias there at all, then.
Check out the interview below for more on Drake and her friendship with Kanye.
