Fans think it might be an apology for his former bandmate Louis Tomlinson…

Zayn Malik has been a little quiet recently but the "Dusk Till Dawn" singer got all up in his feelings over the weekend, sharing an apology message on Twitter.

In the tweet, which has now been deleted, Zayn said: "I'd like [to] apologise for basically being a shit person."

So, who is he talking about – Louis Tomlinson? Gigi Hadid? Anyone?! Well, that's not exactly clear right now. But, Zayn was called out by his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson just a few days ago.

Zayn was a no-show during Louis' emotional X Factor UK performance in 2016, which came only a few days after his mother passed away. Louis, who tragically lost his sister Félicité Tomlinson in March aged 18, later confirmed their friendship was well and truly over.

Although Zayn deleted the initial apology, he did respond to concerned fans, tweeting: "Currently happy, could be happier. Thanks for all the love and thoughts yesterday just had a vent ha x."

He followed it up with a selfie proving, yes, he is happy.
