Tributes include Justin Bieber, Fifth Harmony and an emotional performance from Pentatonix.
Following the sad and untimely passing of musician Christina Grimmie, fans and fellow artists have been sharing their condolences and their memories on social media with each other. Over the weekend, many musicians have even taken to the stage to share their tributes to the 22 year-old rising star with various moving performances and speeches. Here's a few that have made their way onto the internet.
You may have already seen the heart-wrenching video of Selena Gomez dedicating her performance of 'Transfiguration' to Grimmie on stage in Miami. Christina previously toured with Selena and her step-father Brian Teefey was Christina's manager. They were like sisters.
Twenty One Pilots dedicated their song, 'Doubt' to Christina during their show in New Jersey. The song, which held a meaningful message to Christina, was brought to the attention of Tyler and Josh through a Twitter hashtag campaign, #DedicateDoubtToChristina.
Charlie Puth dedicated the already emotional 'See You Again' to his friend at his concert in New York. “I’ve been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that,” he says.
Fifth Harmony held a moment of silence for Grimmie during their performance. They both rose to fame through TV talent shows such as The Voice and The X Factor US and said that Grimmie "was nothing but nice to us, so humble."
Kesha kicked off her performance in Pennsylvania with a short tribute to Grimmie. She asked her fans to send all their support and love toward Grimmie's family.
Fellow ex-YouTube musicians Pentatonix performed a beautiful rendition of 'Light In The Hallway' for Christina at their gig in Germany after previously sharing their condolences on Twitter earlier that day.
Rachel Platten, another tour mate of Christina's, also dedicated her song 'Better Place' to her during her performance at the BLI Summer Jam.
Alessia Cara dedicated 'Scars To Your Beautiful' to Grimmie during her performance at the same event, where she told fans to "live life to the fullest because you never know when it's gone."
Finally, Justin Bieber paid tribute to Grimmie on stage during his Purpose World Tour. The video shows him ad-libbing the line "Grimmie, can you hear me?" into his song. Grimmie had dreams of one day opening a tour for Bieber.
We're sure many many more artists will be sharing their tributes in the coming days but for now, let's just enjoy the music she left behind. Here's her short cover of Twenty One Pilot's 'Doubt'.
