This year's SXSW seems to have everything going down; if you're bored of listening to Shia LaBeouf's heartbeat, perhaps you might like to rush a stage and punch a rapper?
That's how one attendee decided to spend his time during Run The Jewels' performance on the Spotify stage on Monday, and DJ Free Verse got the whole thing on video.
Barrelling onto the stage, the unnamed assailant took a swing at Killer Mike before shoving through to get at El-P.
He didn't get far though, before the duo's crew dragged him off-stage, and subdued him with one punch after he attempted to stir up more trouble in the crowd.
According to reports he was led out by security, while Killer Mike led the crowd in a chant of "F*CKBOY". Probably the best possible reaction to that, to be honest.
El-P commented on the incident via Twitter, and warned SXSW attendees to stay safe, after the attacker was supposedly let go due to no police witnesses.
thanks to everyone who watched us rock the @Spotify house! sorry for the brief interruption.— el-p (@therealelp) March 16, 2015
i'm more concerned with the fact that theres a crazy person wandering around sxsw who could hurt people. again, be alert out there.— el-p (@therealelp) March 17, 2015
Luckily the incident didn't put the guys off the rest of the festival; Funny Or Die hosted them on their stage the following night.
