Selena is not happy with the media.
When you're a 23-year-old international pop star about to release the most grown-up album of your life, the press can either be very helpful or very awful. Unfortunately for Selena Gomez, the 24-hour news cycle means that The Sunday Times are going to make her their cover star but refer to her as "Justin Bieber's ex" instead of "Selena Gomez International Superstar".
Disappointing seeing interviews I've done recently that sound like the exact same interview I did when I was 16...— Selena Gomez (@selenagomez) August 25, 2015
I just want to release the album already.. I'm ready for people to know who I am NOW.— Selena Gomez (@selenagomez) August 25, 2015
Print/type who I am NOW and stop being afraid it won't give your website hits— Selena Gomez (@selenagomez) August 25, 2015
The article in question refers to Selena Gomez as the stabilising force in Justin Bieber's life and describes her as "moon faced". We're guessing that Selena didn't get into show business to be the stabilising force in Justin Bieber's life so she is right to be upset over this.
The 23-year-old access, singer, and dancer has spent the better part of her adult life answering questions about Justin Bieber. Perhaps it's time to focus on her music.
