This is one MONSTER of a track *bops for the rest of the evening*
Rising star Sinead Harnett has released one of our favourite songs of the year in the shape of the totally sass-tastic "She Ain't Me", a modern pop song full of intention and heaps of potential.
Now, if Harnett looks familiar that's because she's been on 'the scene' for a few years, working with Rudimental on their debut album as well as lending her vocals to tracks by Ryan Hemsworth, Wiley AND Disclosure. She's been a busy bee this one.
Yet it's her solo career that's got us buzzing, and now Harnett has shared an absolute monster of a song in the shape of "Do It Anyway".
With deep, dirty bass there's something grimy about the track, its aggressive hand claps accompanying Harnett's attitude filled vocal. There's even a minimal D&B breakdown half way through the song that we are LIVING for.
Lyrically, while the song might appear to be about taking some dubious substances, it is in fact about breaking free and, in Sinead's own words, getting a high out of doing things the way I want to do them and not being influenced by people who maybe don't have my best intentions at heart".
"Do It Anyway" is released on 11 September.
