Nirvana on Hard Drives

By Liam Dryden

Your computer is a grunge fan.

With Kurt Cobain documentary Montage Of Heck slowly making the cinema circuit, the revival of Nirvana-love is real and here. Y'know, if it ever went away.

But now is probably as good a time as any to listen to this ridiculously cool cover of the iconic "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - played on a combination of hard drives. Composed by floppy disc mix artist Arganalth, the nerdy rockout that blasts from this suitcase of computer parts sounds like a combination of robot sex and a polyphonic ringtone from 2005. Weird, very niche, but definitely cool.

Check out the cover here, and be sure to check out some of Arganalth's other hard drive covers.
